Lawn Fertilization Program
Jonny Nichols Lawn & Tree offers a customized approach to lawn fertilization. We design a program that
can be from three to six applications per season. Our smaller programs just focus on fertilization or weed control and our signature program is six applications that addresses crab grass, weeds, fertilization, and overall health of the lawn. During the season, a customer has the capability to change their program if their needs change. Most importantly, any customer who is on a regularly scheduled program also receives priority service calls if an application is ineffective.

Weed Control
Even the most beautiful lawn is likely to have weeds appear at some point. Keeping a lawn "weed-free" takes more than just having a couple of herbicide treatments each year. Nature finds ways to make sure something starts growing in any lawn that has become too thin. Bare patches of soil quickly fill up with broadleaf and grassy weeds of all sorts. That's why a healthy thick stand of grass is the very best weed prevention there is. We recommend 5-6 fertilizer applications per year to keep that beautiful thick weed free lawn you desire.

Grub Control
There are several types of white grubs that feed on the roots of lawn grasses. All of them can cause severe damage if left untreated. Grubs (the larvae of a number of beetles) can become serious lawn pests when present in high numbers. The beetles lay their eggs in your lawn, and the newly hatched worms feed on roots of a wide variety of grasses, cutting the roots and loosening the sod. Most beetles lay their eggs mid to late summer, and the young grubs do their greatest damage during the fall months. Lawns infested with grubs will show irregularly shaped patches of wilted, dead or dying grass in April and May and again in August to mid-October. Grass does not always recover from severe grub injury, but it can regrow if the injury is moderate. Grubs don’t disappear on their own. The best time to apply preventative grub control is from mid-June to August
